Class Policies
Class policies help us work together to ensure a great year for our Fourth Grade Frogs!
ASSIGNMENT PADS: Assignment pads are used daily. Students are required to write down homework assignments. The assignments are given orally and written on the chalkboard.
BIRTHDAYS: You may send a treat to school in celebration of your child's birthday. We will enjoy the treats after lunch during recess. Of course, this is optional. If you choose to send a treat, please send one that will be easy to distribute to students.
TEST FOLDERS: Test folders will be issued on Tuesdays of most weeks. Please sign the conduct grade sheet and initial each test in the folder. If you have a question about a test, please send a separate note to the teacher. Please do not write questions on the actual test papers. It is the student's responsibility to have a parent sign the test folder and bring the test folder back to school on Wednesday. Students not returning test folders by Thursday will pull a conduct strip.
ONLINE GRADES: Grades are available online for parental viewing. Weekly grades, when applicable, will be given in each subject with the exception of Handwriting.
PORTFOLIOS: Portfolios must be brought to school and home daily. The assignment pads and "TOP notes" tab may contain information you need from the office and the teachers. Please check assignment pads and "notes" tab with your child on a daily basis. Please do not remove any papers from your child's portfolio without asking your child first.
CONDUCT GRADES: Each student will begin the 9 weeks at 100% conduct. Conduct grades are cumulative for the entire 9 weeks. It WILL NOT start over at progress reports. Students must maintain an 86 B in conduct to attend scheduled field trips. SPECIAL NOTE: 4th grade final conduct grades are used to determine sports eligibility for students entering 5th grade. Students must maintain an 86 B in conduct to be eligible to play MBS sports.
